Trust & Safety

Finding a church means trusting strangers with something personal. Here is how we protect that trust.

How church claims are verified

Any church in the directory can be claimed by its own leadership, free. A claim is reviewed before it is approved. When a page shows claimed and verified, it means a real person from that church has been approved to manage the page and is listed as one of its administrators. Only claimed and verified churches can receive seeker introductions, guest feedback details, and care & prayer requests through this site.

What verification does — and does not — mean

Verification means the church manages its own page. It is not a theological endorsement, a safety certification, or a guarantee about any church. We encourage every seeker to visit, ask questions, and use their own judgment, exactly as they would with any church they find anywhere.

How feedback stays safe

  • Every review is moderated by a person before anything from it is shown.
  • Seekers see a summary of guest experience only after a church has several published reviews — never a feed of individual comments.
  • Written comments about what made a visit harder are shared privately with the church, never published.
  • Concerns about safety, and any allegation about a specific person, are never published as reviews. They are routed privately.
  • Churches cannot pay to change, hide, or improve their feedback, and there are no public church responses arguing with guests.

Care & prayer requests

Care and prayer requests can be sent only to a church that has claimed and verified its page — so every request goes to a real care team at a church that chose to receive them, and that church follows up with the person directly. Requests are never sent to, stored with, or read by the ROS team as a substitute care provider. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, US) or call 911 for emergencies — please reach a person right away, not a website form.

If a listing is inaccurate, a claim looks wrong, or you see content that concerns you, contact us through the Contact page. Corrections do not require claiming a page.
